HCL League

All registered teams will be placed in one group, this give us a chance to meet and play with all Brothers.

HCL Fall League

Due to a shorter timeframe, registered teams will be drawn randomly and placed into two groups, A & B.

Process for Random draw:

  1. Write down the team codes on a piece of paper
  2. Fold them and mix
  3. Randomly draw and place them into Group A & B.
  4. Result will be round-robin games.

Rules:

  1. Teams from respective group will get assigned, A1...An & B1...Bn, based on their performances/results.
  2. If a match is called off due to an unplayable weather (as decided by the umpires) or HCL communications (eg. masjid event), then there is a Point Split of 1 (one) each with Run Rate of 0.00, except that of HCL communications to accomodate any interrupted playoff games from the ongoing League.
  3. If a group has 1 extra team due to odd number of teams' participations, one group will've an extra game. However, this doesn't change the ranking system.
  4. If only 4 (four) teams were participated (available/willing to play) then all will qualify to SF without QF being played.
  5. If teams are tied up with Points and Run Rate, there will be a random draw to decide teams positions in front of team captains or representatives.
  6. For any other exceptional scenarios, HCL will communicate the decision, everyone must follow the direction.

HCL Knockout (if Fall League cannot be played due to schedule constraints)

This tournament uses a Random Pairing method and used only for Knockout considering a short timespan of 4 weekends of play.

Process for Random Pairing

  1. Write down the team codes on a piece of paper
  2. Fold them and mix
  3. Randomly draw and pair them
  4. Result will be 1st round matches (if odd numbers of team registered, one team gets Bye with 2 Points and a Run Rate of 0.00)
  5. 8 Teams are required for QF (we don't want to knockout more teams) (Only one Group)

Winning teams are ordered as W1..Wn then followed by teams gettting Walkovers or Byes then following by Loosing teams, all Run Rate based.

Rules:

  1. If a match is called off due to team(s) unavailaibility/unwillingness to play after Random Draw & Scheduling is done, then there is no Points Split or no other form of reconsideration will be entertained.
  2. If a match is called off due to an unplayable weather (as decided by the umpires) or HCL communications (eg. masjid event), then there is a Point Split of 1 (one) each with Run Rate of 0.00.
  3. If 1 (one) team has communucated to HCL of their unavailability/unwillingness to play, then the forfeited team will not get any Points or Run Rate and they will be disqualified from the next round. The team which is present on the ground with a minumun of 6 (six) players (as reported by the umpire(s)) will be awarded 2 (two) points and a Runrate of 0.0. In case of no umpires were present in the ground, HCL Scheduling and Umpiring incharges need to be communicated via email and HCL will communicate the decision.
  4. If odd number of teams registered and confirmed their participations before Random Draw & Scheduling, 1 (one) team will get Bye with a Run Rate of 0.00.
  5. If 2 (two) matches are called off due to teams unavailaibility/unwillingnesss to play/forfeiture then those 4 (four) teams will be out of the tournament. In this case the 8 (eight) participating teams will be qualified for QF based on Points and Run Rate.
  6. If only 4 (four) teams were participated (available/willing to play) then all will qualify to SF without QF being played.
  7. If teams are tied up with Points and Run Rate, there will be a random draw to decide teams positions.
  8. For any other exceptional scenarios, HCL will communicate the decision, everyone must follow the direction.

Quarter Finals

Based on Points & Net RR from the round robin, W1, T1, A1, B1 are top ranked teams and L2, T8, A4, B4 are at bottom (L3, T9, A5, B5 and below ranked teams will be out, if at least 8 teams had participated).

One Group. QF1 is based on top team W1 (Winner with top Run Rate)...W6 (Winner with lowest Run Rate), L1 (Looser with 1st best Run Rate) L2 (Looser with 2nd best Run Rate) - not based on when and what date or time teams played.

QF3 = W3 Vs W6
QF4 = W4 Vs W5

League

QF1 = T1 Vs T8
QF2 = T2 Vs T7
QF3 = T3 Vs T6
QF4 = T4 Vs T5
